Hispanic Heritage Celebration

 East End School Community Room,  October 11th, 5:30-7:00pm

 East End School will be hosting a Hispanic Heritage Celebration.  Families will take part in singing, dancing, food, and fiesta!

Spaghetti Dinner

On Thursday, October  20th, West End School will be providing a spaghetti dinner event to promote good attendance and the importance of strong study skills.  The event will take place at 5:30pm in the community room.

Holiday Window Painting 

On December 6th, from 3-5pm, Somerset School’s Student Council, sponsored by NPEA Pride Grant, will be painting windows in Somerset School and some participating community businesses!  Holiday themed messages and pictures will be painted to spread the holiday spirit in North Plainfield!

Thanksgiving Feast 

November 23 at Harrison School

The Thanksgiving Feast is an Annual event at the Bridge Program.  Students, their families, and community members are invited to share a meal, reflect on the positive aspect of our school and community at large, and to interact with the community in a positive way.  Students will also complete educational objectives such as learning about the history of the holiday and how to plan for a large gathering/event.  The community will also have the opportunity to bond with the students in a positive setting.

Grade 6 Family Math Night

 Somerset School Community Room,  December 7, 6-7pm

Family Math Night is an opportunity for parents/families to experience some of the fun grade 6 math has to offer.  As a family, the students & their parents will play math games while listening to music, and courtesy of NJEA PRIDE, eat snacks and receives math-themed prizes

Gr. 5 Expository Writing Celebration

Somerset School – Rm 304

December 15, 9:50am-2:30pm

 The 5th grade students will present their expository writing pieces.  Refreshments will be provided by NJEA PRIDE

Sandwiches for the Soup Kitchen

Elijah’s Promise, New Brunswick, NJ

January 24, 2017

Students make packed lunches and they are given out to members of the community in need. Students decorate bags and include sandwiches, drinks, and healthy snacks in the lunch.
